Automatically Collected Information

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality
• Process voice recordings and convert them to text using AI
• Generate AI-powered suggestions, summaries, and organization of your notes
• Sync your data across your devices
• Send you important updates about the App
• Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse

4. Third-Party AI Processing

YapBrain uses third-party AI services to transcribe voice recordings and organize your notes. Before any data is sent to these services, the App requests your explicit consent. The following third-party services process your data:

• Deepgram (speech-to-text transcription): When you record a voice memo, your audio recording is sent to Deepgram Inc. for transcription. Deepgram processes the audio to convert it to text and does not retain your audio data after processing. Deepgram Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini (AI text structuring): After transcription, your text is sent to Google Gemini AI (via Google LLC) to generate structured summaries, action items, and notes. Google does not use your data to train its general AI models when accessed via API. Google Gemini API Terms

What data is sent: Voice recordings (audio files) are sent to Deepgram. Transcribed text is sent to Google Gemini. No other personal information (such as your name, email, or account details) is shared with these services.

User consent: The App requests your explicit permission before sending any data to third-party AI services. If you decline, AI-powered features (transcription and note structuring) will not be available, but you can grant consent at any time.

We do not use your personal content to train general AI models. Both Deepgram and Google provide data protection measures that are equal to or exceed our own standards.

5. Data Storage & Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard cloud infrastructure to store your data securely.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your data with:

• Deepgram Inc.: Voice recordings for speech-to-text transcription (see Section 4)
• Google LLC (Gemini AI): Transcribed text for AI-powered structuring and summarization (see Section 4)
• Supabase Inc.: Cloud infrastructure for data storage, authentication, and backend services
• Apphud Inc.: Subscription management and purchase validation
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
